Privacy and cookies

In short

• No accounts, no sign-up, no advertising or tracking cookies, no third-party ad networks.
• Settings such as your boat profile, wind units or last place are saved only in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to us.
• “Show for my location” uses your device location only in the browser to pick the nearest forecast point; we do not store it.

Push notifications (optional)

If you turn on a reminder, we store the technical push address created by your browser, the chosen place, the hour and the language — no name, e-mail or phone number. You can stop it at any time with the same button; addresses that no longer work are deleted automatically.

Hosting and external services

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the pages. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap/CARTO and satellite storm images through our server from EUMETSAT. News links open the original publisher’s site, which has its own privacy policy.
